The Fabled Life of Aesop

There are three things I think are important about Aesop:

  1. He made stories and was wise.
  2. He learned to speak in code
  3. He got sold two times as a slave.

The two things I think are important about fables:

  1. That they teach lessons.
  2. That they live on forever.

I still wonder about:

  1. Did Ancient Greece invent any famous food?

  1. Hi Justin,
I liked learning from your post what stood out to you about Aesop and fables.

I have a few collections of fables, and while some of them mention foods like bread, water, grapes and cheese and a few of them are about sharing meals (or not) with others none of them talk feature luscious foods. I wonder a typical meal was in Ancient Greece. That could be something to explore.

Thank for sharing your thoughts and idea.
