24÷6=4

24÷2=12

24÷1=24

Justin made 24 cakes. Jacob was hungry so he and his 5 friends shared the cakes equally. How many cakes were left?

    I like seeing your division problems. Do you know the two multiplication equations that would complete the fact family?
    I also wonder if you meant to ask how many did Jacob and his friends each get?
    It’s hard to know how many cakes were left. It could be 18 if they each had 1 or it could be 22 if they each had a third.
    Writing problems is tricky.
